Last night’s City Harvest “Bid Against Hunger” charity auction topped the charts! An evening with Tyler Florence (dinner for six) went for $7,000. Yikes! No I wasn’t the lucky bidder. Funds flowed like champagne, and talented chefs worked their usual divine magic. Such artists included Francois Payard, Philippe Bertineau, Tyler Florence, Tony Esnault, Eric Ripert, Laurent Tourondel, and Tom Valenti, just to name a few. Foie gras to Steak Frites Sushi to White Chocolate Rose-filled Napoleons to Chocolate Lollipops more than satisfied snazzy bidders’ appetites. I can definitely attest to the fact that a grand and prosperous time was had by all.
