Beauty in (Any)Everything

Even when certain things in life make no sense at all, I want to see the beauty in those precious comforts I am so thankful for. The present moment. Sweet and juicy local satsumas, grapefruits and oranges; a frothy ‘good luck’ latté from Stumptown in New Orleans; savory caramelized fennel with goat cheese and a poached egg inspired by Ottolenghi; the priceless view of a regal woman taking tea at Le Salon in the Windsor Court Hotel; the Art Deco door dividing the Ace Hotel hallway and the Josephine Estelle; and being able to enjoy a leisurely Sunday morning sipping lemon water and easing into a new day full of possibilities.
